Kevin Lovitt, President
Before joining Pointstreak, Mr. Lovitt held the position of Director, Corporate Partnerships with the National Hockey League Players’ Association. At the NHLPA he was responsible for all corporate relationships with the NHL and companies across the US and Canada.
Mr. Lovitt has over 15 years of experience in the sports industry at his own firm, The Integis Group and at the two largest sports management companies, Octagon Worldwide and IMG. At Octagon, he managed all areas of Octagon’s Properties and Sponsorship business. At IMG, he was responsible for founding and managing IMG’s Franchise and Properties practice working with a number franchises in the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.
Mr. Lovitt holds a B.A. degree from Brown University, an M.B.A. degree in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a J.D. degree from the Pace University School of Law.
He played hockey at Brown University from 1977-81 achieving All-Ivy honors and served as Brown’s captain during his senior season. After graduation he played in the Hartford Whalers’ minor league system.
Blair Smith, VP Operations and Founder
Blair Smith is a native of Kinkora, P.E.I. and graduated from Kinkora High School before attending the University of Prince Edward Island.
After leaving University, Mr. Smith held positions at the PEI Potato Marketing Board and Irving Oil before opening his first venture in the entertainment and hospitality business. Mr. Smith then founded Brookside Business, a company specializing in point-of-sale equipment and security camera sales and installations.
In 2007, Mr. Smith, with his partner George Roberts, founded 5050 Central; a centralized, electronic system for fund raising raffle ticket sales at public events and sports/entertainment venues. 5050 Central has been an astounding success from its first installation for the City of Summerside, and has vastly increased fundraising revenues everywhere the system has been put in place.
Ben Kennedy, Financial Controller
Mr. Kennedy has over 25 years of experience in the fields of public accounting and business planning. Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada) and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Kennedy’s areas of expertise include: financial modeling for complex business solutions, tax planning and consulting for owner-managed businesses and consulting on computerized information systems. Mr. Kennedy holds financial reporting responsibility for the Pointstreak group of companies and specifically, for 5050 Central.
Matthew Annis, VP Technology
Mr. Annis graduated from Algonquin College in 2003 with a diploma in Computer Engineering - Computing Science. Shortly after graduating in 2004, Mr. Annis co-founded Steva Sports Software Inc which designs video analysis and video coaching solutions for professional and amateur sports. Mr. Annis grew the company to over 500 clients in 15 different countries including such prestigious clients as Hockey Canada and many NHL franchises.
After merging Steva Sports Software into the Pointstreak family in 2010 Mr. Annis continued to lead the technology group for the Steva division. In 2012 Mr. Annis assumed the additional responsibilities of Vice President of Technology for 5050 Central. Mr. Annis's areas of expertise include: project leadership, commercial software development, professional multimedia development and full life-cycle software engineering.
